We are currently seeking a Director of Accounting for INTUS Smartcities Inc. We encourage applicants from accounting and finance backgrounds to apply to develop careers with us. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned as required)
- Supervision of general accounting and reporting functions
- Management and supervision of work performed by INTUS Smartcities staff and offshore staff working for INTUS Smartcities
- Assist in building strong partnerships with the finance teams in the businesses we support (subsidiaries)
- Ensuring all reporting requirements are met by the reporting team- both in timeliness and quality
- Ensuring all reporting is in accordance with GAAP and INTUS Smartcities’ accounting policy – including Financial Statements, Reporting Packages, Footnotes etc.
- Ensuring that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and reserves are analyzed accordingly
- Providing oversight and supervision for budgeting and forecasting processes for the Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Income Statement
- Providing oversight and supervision for all financials of subsidiaries and divisions
- Completing Quarterly Comprehensive reports and present it to the board of directors
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration along with CPA and/or MBA
- Minimum 8 to 10 years relevant work experience in Accounting and/or Finance of publicly traded companies
- Experience with the financial closing process, budgeting, general accounting, financial analysis, supervision, and management
- Proficient computer skills using ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, or similar as well as Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
- Thorough understanding of US GAAP, SEC reporting and SOX compliance standards
- Excellent technical accounting skills and understanding of multiple unit operations
- Ability to manage a large and diverse workforce supporting multiple business units
- Ability to make decisions and resolve complex issues without direct supervision
- Ability to concisely convey complex issues to senior management in written and verbal form
- Industry experience in construction and/or engineering and large project development
