Workforce Training and Infrastructure Mapping Initiative to Support Ukrainian Reconstruction

ROME, IT – INTUS Smartcities is proud to announce its participation in the Ukraine Recovery Conference held in Rome from July 10-11. Representing the company, Andreas Borgeas, our Legal and Policy Advisor, engaged in strategic meetings with Ukrainian government officials to present a comprehensive, two-pronged proposal designed to support the nation’s future reconstruction efforts through workforce development and critical infrastructure mapping.

A Two-Pronged Approach: Empowering People, Rebuilding Infrastructure

Our follow-up conversations with the Ukrainian government have centered on a long-term partnership focused on two key areas:

1. Empowering the Workforce with the CUTI Centre: We have proposed a specialized training program through our CUTI (Canadian Utilities Technologies Infrastructure) Centre focused on Electronic Business Management and Administration. This initiative will utilize a “train-the-trainer” model to create a self-sufficient ecosystem of skilled administrative professionals. The program is designed specifically for Ukrainian individuals, including veterans and those displaced by the war, equipping them with the skills to manage the complex administrative and compliance requirements of large-scale reconstruction projects.

2. Building a Digital Foundation with GDIC: Alongside workforce training, we have proposed a plan for the digital mapping of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure. Leveraging the proven model of our GDIC (Geospatial Data and Integration Center), this initiative would create a “digital twin” of the nation’s essential utility networks. This digital map is a foundational tool for planning reconstruction, managing assets, and ensuring the long-term resilience of the country.

Expanding Our European Commitment

This initiative in Ukraine is part of our broader strategic expansion in Europe. It complements our active “Safe Dig” and Digital Mapping programs being established in partnership with the governments of Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, and North Macedonia. This cohesive regional strategy underscores our commitment to enhancing the safety, resilience, and digital sovereignty of nations across the continent.
